FreeSync Monitor Showcase NCIX YouTube video

I just spotted this and thought there might be some people on here that would like to view it too.

It's impressive that FreeSync will be launching with a much bigger range of monitors to support the technology than nVidia had at the launch of G-Sync.

Loads more cards on the market that support it.
    Less costs to manufacturers
    More media coverage

I wouldn't say it's surprising really. What I do find surprising is this tech becoming sought after so late in the day. Could have done with it 5-10 years ago when we were struggling to get hardware good enough to run modern games. These days the hardware is relatively cheap and the tech is really only helping people who feel the need to run at 120+Hz or 4K UHD.

Acer have just released a 144hz 2560x1440 G-Sync monitor with an IPS panel so I'm sure that a FreeSync model can't be that far behind.

I was tempted with this but I hear ACER quality control is not up to par with the likes of ASUS. The review on tftcentral was extremely positive though.

I guess if I had an nvidia GPU I would buy it and then if the quality was not good, just return under DSR.
