You need the infs mate

Install the driver from the previous link. It will say no hardware found. It will have extracted the driver to "C:\NVIDIA\WinVista64\177.35\English" (on Vista, will be close on XP too) anyway though.

Go into this directory. Overwrite the inf with the correct one from the rar I posted. Run setup from the same directory - reboot.

Install FAH GPU client - it should work now

i've already replaced the inf in the nVidia folder tho

edit: ooooooooooh, i just found another nVidia folder on my other partition , i'll replace that one too (why the hell do i have 3 nvidia folders???????)

Are you running the setup file from the directory you copy the infs to?

What version driver does device manager say you're running?

extract the 177 driver with winrar, edit the ini and there u go. Not sure if this 1 will help u but try this ini http://filehost.justfreespace.com/527nv4_disp.inf

nvidia control panel says: 175.16

and i ran setup got told the "cannot find driver version for hardware"

it had created a folder for it, so i dropped the inf file in
tried the installation again, told it not to replace the inf and the installation went through...

i'll try installing 177 again....

TAKTAK... Its not hard lol:

1) Run setup until error. Or extract files.
2) Replace inf in extracted files. (C:\NVIDIA\WinVista64\177.35 or similar, or wherever you extracted it to)
3) Run setup.exe

it gets to the end and just says, the system has not been modified.........

i've tried but nvidia control panel just wont disapear

you probably broken something else then... I would try system restore back to when the drivers were behaving and then try it

i've got forceware 175.16 again now, but still can't get 177 to take....

I guess this is another F@H thing that hates my computer

dont worry mate, it happens to all of us... smp won't work play well for me

maybe by the time protein folding is completely solved there will be a working client

yeh smp does nothing for me, so im stuck using 2 instances of the core...
ill just have to wait for it to be out of it's beta stage
