I currently only use one 8800GT gpu 24/7 and the HD4870 for a couple of hours a day.
It's the noise, especially in the bedroom that would annoy me. So I was planning on getting everything set up then leaving it for a week or so that I'm away.
The only down side of that is if the F@H clients die then I can't re-start them.
My QX6700 earns its keep.
Now, there's got to be something I can do with all those C2Ds at uni...

Funnily enough I'm just speccing up some machines will I'll be able to put to good use for the team.
5x 8 core 2.8ghz Mac Pro's should do the trick.

I've gotta rebuild my other box at some point, so I'll get them both folding at some point - just re-done my LAN rig so I'll get that one going this weekend.
Now i finally have a decent, stable system i think i'll look into this properly.
Back in the day i did quite a bit of SETI@home, so i'm up for it in principle.

WOO, I fold on a HD4850 for 5+ hours a day. Got to try and get it on the school computers as there are 300+ P4 machiens, which would make a differance.#
Anyone know any *hacks* to get it past RM versions of XP???....
