    Folding i7 with HT

Righty, is there a way to get 100% out of my i7 without using multiple VMs?

Can i just run 2 instances of the SMP?

although that would mean 2 threads per physical core...

Or can i not max the CPU out?

    halp pl0x

    Re: Folding i7 with HT

You can run two SMPs to max out the CPU, alternatively SMP with 4x Uni clients or simply 8x Uni clients.

Also, don't forget GPU folding, that can soak up an extra core too, e.g. 1x SMP, 3x Uni & 1x GPU. When running multiple clients on the same machine, remember to have unique client machine IDs.

However, the guys behind F@H don't recommend folding on 'HT cores', it slows down WU return times which is bad for the work they're doing.
