Turns out one of the sticks didn't like the frequency it had been overclocked to, so I notched it down and all 4GB are present and correct

and on the same note as everyone one else fixing stuff, I have managed to sort the issue with the bigadv units on my servers. Just set the four big servers to download bigadv units once they finish their current smp units (4-5 hours per smp unit so shouldn't take too long)

Sorry Tatty - this should push my ppd back up to the 140k mark.

    Very nice!

Also, how's this for consistency: last 3 days scores are 14,495, 14,485 and 14,495.

    Re: Folding Chit-Chat

Stress testing @ 3.84 GHz still under 1.5vcore. This chip is unbelievable. Not only does it provide me with an extra core and cache, it also runs at a higher OC than a normal Athlon II x3 445 at a lower voltage.

    Re: Folding Chit-Chat

Since sorting out my RAM, I've been forced to knock my OC down an entire 60Hz because I kept getting the Fah core.exe (or something) has stopped responding. Currently at 3.551GHz.

    Re: Folding Chit-Chat

Had a bit of an O/C experiment here as well to see how buck BCLk and QPI speed effect WU's.

    I've going from a frame taking 8mins @ 3.6GHz(21x171) to however long it takes at 3.8GHz (19x200).

Will report back with, if any, increases in performance.

Just when I'd hatched a cunning plan to try to bridge the defecit too. Doh.

We'll see what happens when my i7 970 comes. I'm hoping that'll go some way to repairing the chasmous void between our production rates.

Very good, are you just on air? What temperatures are you getting?

Completely off topic, but my speakers have started to make intermittent rapid "popping" sounds (like a bass drum) ;there are 4-5 pops per episode... does anyone have any ideas what could be wrong before it annoys me enough to take it to the proper forum?

Seeing as it's unlocked the temp sensors are broken but seeing as it's only 1.44vcore (which is actually rather low for thsi kind of OC) and the "CPU" reports 44C I would guess under 50C at the cores. Which means come summer if I still have this CPU it will keep cool
Really pleased tbh, this chip is unbelievable considering I payed £50 for it.

Could it be interference or is it a different kind of popping?
Wifi/mobiles/cordless phones make my speakers make noises they shouldn't.

    £50?? That really isn't bad!

I'm fairly sure it's not interference as nothing as changed recently that might introduce new interference, I've just updated the drivers though so we'll see if that does anything useful.

My CPU usage is low and the client section of the FAH folder is now almost empty after I tryed to change a setting earlier. How did you ammend the usage parameter tatty? Should I just reinstall? Would rather finish this WU first.
