    g900 wireless connection

    hi

i have g900 notebook, which appears to have only a wireless card, but it appears to be only a 11.b.
    I can't seem to install a 11.g driver,
did the notebooks come with 11.b/11.g cards ?

    thanks

The 802.11b/802.11g MiniPCI WLAN card used with WIFI enabled G900 supports both the 802.11b/802.11g standards when installed with the supplied driver.

Please can you let me know which drivers are you trying that won't install?

    Regards

    which contained both the
    actiontec_wlan

    lan802mIG

    lan802MR

    Bililition_wlan

tried to update the existing driver, but all i got was, that
the ieee 802.11b minipci driver was the best fit

    any ideas?

    Hello,

I’ve requested a driver update from our tech department, however we need to identify the manufacturer of your WiFi card so we can supply you the correct one. Please follow the below path to identify your card.

Right click on “My Computer” – Properties – Hardware – Device manager – Network adaptors.

    Thanks.

That doesn't appear to be giving you the manufacturer, try typing MSINFO32 in the 'Run' command console then follow this path through the Hierarchy-Tree : System Info - Components - Network - Adapter
The right pane should then display more detailed information on your network adapter, the manufacturer should be listed there.
