Exclamation Flash Voyager - cannot "safely remove" in Vista?

    Hey,

I have two x 2GB Flash Voyager drives, and when I connect them to any PC using Vista (tried several PC's) the drives do not cause the "Safely Remove Device" icon to appear in the system tray. However this is displayed fine on all XP PC's.

Other devices and flash drives can be safely removed with Vista, but not the Corsair ones... is this a known issue? And is there any workaround?

    Cheers,

    Suman

I have these but on vista ultimate 64bit I get the little box with the green tick so I can remove them. Might be worth running a repair on your vista build. Just replaced them with a 16gb survivor now.

Only time vista has done this to me is with the mobile phone as it picked it up as an mp3 player at one point instead of the phone/m2 card.

The little green tick comes with everything else though (other USB sticks, phones, cameras etc.). It's only the Corsair drive that it doesn't appear with.

I gather there is nothing in the Corsair knowledge base?

Please start a thread at the Corsair forum in the Flash section, linked below. RAM GUY is far more knowledgeable about Flash than I am.
