Our upcoming flash products will be Vista Ready Boost compatible. We have some releases very soon and I expect something in early March.
Thanks for your patience and for using Corsair. |

In a nutshell, there are 2 types of memory used in flash memory, MLC and SLC. MLC is currently available in MUCH higher densities than SLC but, SLC is MUCH faster. Currently, non-GT =MLC, GT = SLC.
To be fast enough for Vista to approve a drive for Readyboost, you need it to be made with SLC as far as I know. I don't think MLC is fast enough. If you have a non-GT Voyager that is working wih Readyboost you likely either have an exceptional specimen, a non-GT version made with SLC, or Vista chose to use it for some reason we don't have enough info to diagnose.

Not that I know of but, I guess anything is possible. If you want to benchmark it and see how it stacks up against other fast (probably SLC) drives, that may give you a clue. I don't know of any way to verify it though.
