    Arrow Flash Voyager problem...

    Hey,

The USB cap on my brand new 2Gb Flash Voyager drive is really really loose; it literally falls off if you hold it upside down! I emailed RAMGuy for a replacement but I haven't had a reply how can I get a new cap?

    Cheers,

    Suman

P.S. Wow, first post ever in this forum... do I get a prize?

I don't know when you emailed RAMGuy but with the holidays, it's likely they are backlogged quite a bit. If it's been more than 10 business days, please email customerservice @ corsairmemory.com and they'll ship you one or two caps out as replacements.

    Thanks.

Hopefully we can get you a new cap for your FV, that will be a good prize. Also, I'll get you a link for customer service. They should be able to assist with a new cap.

I emailed RAMGuy just after Xmas, so I guess about a week... I understand about the backlog though so I'll just wait and see what happens. I actually bought 2 drives (one for my dad), and his cap is quite loose too, although nowhere near as bad as mine!

I've actually got a cool idea to make the cap more secure if you're interested... basically if you made 2 little rubber ridges on the inside of the cap, they could fit in to these holes on the USB connector:

That should hold it on more securely than the current design (I hope!).

    Cheers,

    Suman

Oooh, I've got a 512mb Corsair Flash Voyager, with as much of a problem in that the lid was soo loose, that it fell off, and was consequently lost. Anychance I could get a cap or two sent out?

    Cheers,

    Dave

I've bought several of these flash drives and nearly every single one has lost its cap at some stage. (Best part of 40 drives since they were released)

My own personal one has lost its cap over xmas I will have to email in and get some sent out I think.

Sumanji: The new ones do use those points but they still fall off eventually.

    Hey Gordy,

I must have got some really old stock then, because the inside of the caps on my two drives just have a slightly undulated surface surely these drives can't be splash-proof if the caps are so loose?!

Haven't heard anything, not even an automated response saying we've recieved your query...

(ah, jus realised I sent the query this morning, not last night )

Some times our SPAM filter will catch emails. Try them again and keep the subject line VERY simple. Try Corsair as the subject line.

I only got an email last night, and I sent my original request over a week ago so I imagine there is a pretty big Xmas backlog! Give it a few days and see what happens dude...
