Headline :: PS3 launch event changed as police fear muggings

In conjunction with the MET police, GAME have changed the time of the PS3 launch event. It's now an early kick-off with free bacon butties!

    Check out the Headline

Steven do you know if this applies to all Game stores or is it just Oxford St, London?

I have a friend in Newcastle who was planning on going to a midnight launch at a Game store there so I'll let him know just in case it won't happen.

Oh on a side note, are the bacon butties still free if you're not buying a PS3?

Yeah its a bit disciminatory not to offer an alternative! I myself a veggie am not in the minority any more. Still guess many geeks aren't as you have to steer away from crisps section all the to the vegetables and that can be a long walk when you're cyber chick is waiting on the other end.

Anyway certainly freshen up the smell in those stores...god I felt sick at week before Christmas and my girlfriend had to leave the store because the smell, I got a bargain though! I mean really, do they not use the shower...ever?!

    I assure you, you are

I mean really, do they not use the shower...ever?!
    Who is "they" exactly?
Its not really the staffs fault if a bunch of smelly chavs come in and stink the store out, which sadly is fairly common.
If you're saying that everyone who works at GAME doesnt use the shower though, id really like to see you back that up

LOL how about tough luck for all you vegetables.
Bloomin vegetarian menu this and "ooh its got dead animal" that.

I know you dont mean this seriously, but looking at the types that are vegetables, people will soon start seeing being offered a dead plant alternative to dead animal as a right rather than a privelage.

Anyone know if there was any trouble at the Xbox 360 launch? Did they bother with a midnight launch for that?

You are in a minority though. I happen to know two people who have been converted back by the sight of a bacon sandwich.

Have you not seen the burger king ad? Really men clearly love to eat a giant meaty burger.

I also propose that if more consoles are sold to men than women, Sony should be sued for being sexist.

Well yes. I mean, this whole butty thing completely stops me buying a PS3 - Still I will rest easy in the knowledge that I won't be taking up an eagerly contested spot and that by my selfless actions someone's dream will come true.

me too, although i am saddened that some ignorant individual will be burdened with the crushing debt and mocking from there peers after a night spent in the snow (please god!)

Edit: new Sony marketing angle? "buying a ps3 is like taking a bullet for someone, and you'd do that woudnt you, hero?"
