    This is great news! However,

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is due for release in November.
According to Wikipedia (& Gamespot), the release date is Q2 2008?

Big Leon, Wikipedia is not the most reliable source plus the Hexus news normally comes from the manufacturer in terms of press releases etc.

George, I'm aware of what Wikipedia is

However, if you read my post and click the link I provided, you will see that the Wikipedia entry release date links to Gamespot.

Having been a member of Hexus for several years, I am also aware that the Hexus news is generally very accurate.

I was simply looking for clarification on whether the date was correct!

Hmm looking round and interestingly HMV quote a date for the PC version - http://www.hmv.co.uk/hmvweb/displayP...N_GAMES-648375 - next year. Which would make sense and follow the general console/pc thang where they release a pc version some time after the console one.

    A New Hope?

I will wait as long as it takes to play the Wii-mote as a lightsabre.

...however if its half as bad as some of their recent offerings it may result in quite a few dissapointed gamers, I really hope they've made something special this time.

Who do you mean by 'they'? Nintendo have put out some good games (metroid prime etc.), and Lucas Arts aren't doing badly either (lego star wars)

movie battles is the worst programmed game engine ever, yes thats quake. im on a 7900gtx and it is so laggy! why cant they make game engines like ut, if mb2 had the ut engine that would be so cool and start wars mb would be fun to play again.

there are a few bugs yes, but if u have tried the latest build (19) then u will notice alot of the bugs have been sorted and the gameplay is still fun. The engline yup is sooooooooo bad lol, every pc struggles with that, but i think alot of it is down to the modders creating these builds.

I would love for there to be a new lightsaber game jsut like moviebattles. KOTF is/was coming out?

Just double checked this, it's down as November on the Lucas Art press pages, but you're right it has indeed been delayed until Spring 08.

I meant they as in LucasArts, i can't remember the last time they actually made a great star wars game.

Lego Star Wars was only published by LucasArts, it was developed by several other companies depending on the platform. Star Wars games actually developed by LucasArts have been largely uninspiring in recent years.
