Feature :: 20 great videogames on Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and PC for 2008

There are plenty of great looking games to look forward to in 2008 that aren’t on this list, but I've pondered away and chosen 20 games that I'm really looking forward to this year, including some brand new titles and a number of sequels. Agree, disagree? Take a look...

    Interesting list Steven!

I found 2006 and 2007 to be full of titles I really wanted to get my hands on, but 2008 seems to be less so. Perhaps because the hype machine behind some of the mentioned titles hasn't quite kicked in yet.

From the 20 listed, there is only one that I would queue up to buy: Mario Kart Wii.

oh oh oh, edit! There are two games I would queue up to buy in 2008: Mario Kart Wii and Rock Band!

I know Rock Band is out in the States already but we don't get it 'till next year. I'll definately be getting that for 360.

rock band has got alot of potential and is i believe a big hit in the states, one of the things that drew me towards this is the already available online content and not half-assed like guitar hero 3 (dont get me wrong i own and LOVE Guitar hero 3) but so far you can buy 2 song packs consisting of 3 songs each, and a boss battle pack where as i read that Rock band has almost full albums from bands and ALOT more to chose from already not just a few randoms.
(GH3 has Killswitch Engage, In-Flames and i downloaded the Foo Fighters pack too which make it special to me )

Yet another great looking game. I knew I should have made the list 30 instead of 20

Do you think my list is rubbish and thought the likes of Burnout Paradise (that's just for you Stewart on the forums), Rainbow 6 Vegas 2, Far Cry 2, Rock Band, Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning or Spore (I thought about adding this title to the list, but I've lost a bit of interest in it following the numerous delays)? Or perhaps you even agree with me?

Whatever the case, let's have a bit of a debate/argument in the forums about it. Meanwhile, I'm going into hiding for the rest of the day after putting a LEGO game in a 'Best of' list for the second week running - must be a mid-life crisis.
I still say Bunout 5 is more anticipated than Lego Indiana Jones, Lego Ghostbusters, Lego And Get Le Garlic and the rest, but a decent list overall.
