    PS3 game screens

You ask for pics of games running on the PS3 and I go off and hunt them down for you, aren’t you just the luckiest people alive? (Send money orders and substantially large cheques to the usual address).

There's three games so far with screens to oggle at, but very little in the way of actual info on each one...

    We've got Killzone PlayStation 3:

    Then there's MotorStorm:

    And finally, The Getaway:

If thses screens are actually from game shots... woah... and I mean... WOAH!

Killzone looks great. Espescially in that video of PS3 games. The Getaway looks fantastic!

Killzone was probably a pre-rendered video, but it should look fairly close, so they say.

Surely none of those can be in-game shots! Surely!

    If so, and are needed!!

If cars had followed the same developmental path as computers, a Rolls Royce would cost £60, get a million miles per gallon and explode once a year, killing everyone inside.

I doubt they are in game graphics the sensible marketing thing to do is show it at its
best and not tell anyone so we all think it might be great and left wondering.

Especially as i have read that the 360 game demos all suffered from slowdown. Though
i have read also that they were only running it at 30% of the 360s power.... BUT why would you do that?????

I guess because they're running on macs at the moment, and they only have the one core - hence 30% of the power.

Those graphics look aswum, they are miles past the ps2, though i am not sure wether the 'normal' user will notice that much difference...what do you think???

Anyone remember the PS2 shots that turned out to be *nothing* like the end result ?

Still, whats shown there isnt hard to do with the use of shaders

I haven't seen them myself but i have heard people say that the PS2 tech demos have actually been surpassed by last year's hit titles. So even though we may not see this good a quality graphics yet, i don't think its unrealistic to expect it by the 3rd or 4th year.

Then again the PS3 is apparently much easier to make games for than the PS2, so it could be very soon we'll see developers flexing the Cell muscle to its fullest

    Very exciting times ahead
