    PS3, priced and dated?
    For those of us bored enough to go hunting these things out, guess what I've found over on the www.amazon.fr, the French Amazon site...

    Well, it looks like they're taking preorders for the PS3, with a release date of March 15th!

    The price point is 399.99 Euros, which works out at £272 at todays exchange rates.


    They're even offering a bundle of the PS3 and the X360 for 799.98 Euros or £544... which is a saving of bugger all compared with buying the two systems separately.

    Incidentally, the X360 is also listed at 399.99 Euros with a release date of the 28th November... hmmm.

    Everyone has the X360 for november 28th.

    Its the LAST possible release date to get it out in time for xmas.

    I'm putting my money on mid november.

    Did my preorder now. 9th in the Queue!

    £500 it was, with the games at £75 each

    That's not as expensive as I thought for release prices. I may consider getting one of the next gen consoles if they turn out to be a good "entertainment hub" as they are touted to be to save me building a media center PC.
    Personally I've been an Nintendo boy, as most of their good games never come out for PC and are significantly different from PC titles.

    It'll probably end up the same price as every other Playstation at launch (other than the portable that is)..

    basically the final release date for is console isn't finalised, so the date they quote could change..

    i think i will wait untill some decent games come out...

    never saw the point in paying release price when in a couple of months the price will drop significantly
