Farcry Pre-Release HDR + AA patch

Just surfing about the net and come across this for all of you still playing Farcry.

Guru3D have the Pre Release 1.4 patch mirrored and available for download here

For more info on what this does and known issues theres a thread worth viewing over at the Ubisoft forums here

From the few shots I have seen this makes Farcry look even better than what it did already and can be used by owners of Nvidia or ATI graphics boards.

Keep in mind that this is a beta patch so if you do use it and something goes wrong there is no support given by Ubisoft - You have been warned !!!

Far Cry was always a beautiful game, but its continued developement never ceases to amaze me.

    Yay for Crytek!

Indeed, the really amazing thing about farcry isn't that its as good or better as hyper profile shooters like HL2 and Doom3, but that it was almost just an afterthought to the engine it was built on.

Crytek are in the business of making engines, hence the updating after the games out. They want game devs to see their engine, being updated, see its capabilities, they have to compete with the source engine, so, updates will be a good idea from a business point of view. So once more from crytek, we have the afterthought, us gamers, benefitting hugely out of their tweaking. Yay for them \o/
