This is the ONE game I've been looking forward to most on the 360, I'm a massive fan of the Test Drive series and this one looks legendary

Please please come out on the PC too!

Question: Any noticable rubberbanding in the AI?

Yes, it is coming to PC in the Autumn.

I had a good looooong play on it and I didn;t notice AI rubber banding, but the AI is still being tweaked a lot. The general traffic does stuff like swerving out of your way if you're head on to it but this is still being worked on as they sometimes swerve for no reason.

THe AI opponents are just as susceptible to crashing as your are though, which was nice, though I have to be honest and say that I didn't actually see what held up my AI opponent.

The main game is the online side though, and this is wher I guarantee you'll spend all your time... you can even meet up in the clubs on Oahu and chat with other players VoIP stylee, so it really is a whole online world for you to immerse yourself in.

    Frankly, it's bloody marvellous.

I love PGR3, I think it's one of the best racing games I've ever played. Sure, the online career can be spoiled by some of the people, but, as good as a game is, you can't stop idiots from playing them.

When you said "PGR3 had better keep an eye on the mirror as Test Drive Unlimited is going to blow it away."
That was enough for me, I'm sold. Pre-order, please.

Graphically this looks to be the game PGR should have been.

Well after months of screenies and us all wondering if they were pre-rendered or in-game, I can hold my ahnd up and say that those screens are ALL in game.

A couple are taken from the 'photo mode' where you can pause the game and then pan around the car, add blur, specular highlights and even sepia tone the picture before taking a snapshot... but's it's all still in-gmae rendering... NOT Photoshoped images.

Plus the online thing with the whole island being like one massive lobby, it'll mean you'll play online more than anything else I think.

Hmm.. tempted to buy a 360 for this.. the visuals are very impressive, especially the detail. And this is only a BETA?!? The 'photo mode' sounds cool, i wish they'd done that in Oblivion.

    Nope, not even BETA!

This is pre-BETA code we've been playing... good, eh?

They have. Open the console and type 'tfc'. No effects, but you can set the camera where you like.
