I probably racked up more hours in River Raid on the Atari 2600 than any game since, so that has to be a contender. As do Megalomania and Speedball 2 on the Amiga.
On the PC - probably the Half Life series and, more recently, FTL and Dishonored.

For me it's probably Gothic 2 Night of the Raven. Gothic 1 was the first RPG I ever played and I loved it then Gothic 2 came out and it was an improvement all around, the theme for the game is a bit dark though the story is really interesting. If you're in to RPG games give it a go, graphics are really outdated but the games are pure gold.
Ultima Underworld 2, System Shock 2 and Elder Scrolls 3
Cant narrow down to a single choice:
1. Star Wars Battlefront II - PS2
2. RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 - PC
3. Pro Evolution Soccer 4 - PS2
Played these games when I was growing up, I love a lot of modern games like MW2 and Black Ops Zombies, but they just can't compare..
I guess for this is the game that got me most hooked at the time, even if it's pretty naff now I look back on it but - Duke Nukem 3D. God knows how many play throughs I've done.
I'd have to vote for EverQuest. It was a sick addiction I had for a while, and in a dark way, it was most perfect Skinner Box ever invented. No other game allowed great players to be a legend the way EverQuest did.
Probably my favourite game ever in Knights of the Old Republic. I can't believe what EA did to that franchise with that MMO BS. I will never forgive them for that.
By far mine would be Psychonauts, but not many people know of it.
Probably San Andreas or Skyrim
I would have to say overall Blitzkrieg would have to be my favourite game purely for the amount of hours I had playing online and messing with the editor. Oh man I miss those days
I feel compelled to mention these as well as I have had many hours of fun with them.
Dirt series
Red Orchestra
Forgotten Hope
Tropico series
GTR Evolution
Pretty much anything by Rareware in the SNES-N64 era, before they got bought out by Microsoft. Donkey Kong Country, Banjo Kazooie, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Jet Force Gemini. The list goes on. Those games were my childhood and I'll always look on fondly.
My favorite games from google play store:
1. Backgammon Live
2. Domino Live
3. Gin Rummy GC
4. Cribbage Live
I have a few faves, Kula World is my favourite since it's a game which whilst rare is still popular.
Wow emotive subject, i've changed my mind multiple times already - also some I spent the most time on (such as WoW, EQ2, Dark Souls, Payday2, Diablo 2/3) aren't necessarily my 'favourite'.
Games like Streets of Rage 2, Mortal Kombat 2 and Unreal Tournament were ones I couldn't wait to get home to play at their respective times so probably one of them 3.
Loved Arena shooters back in the day but they just don't cut it in today's FPS market, sadly. I personally think they're still fun. Let's hope Doom and the upcoming Unreal changes all that. We need a new Quake as well
