Rollercoaster Tycoon 2
I have about 5! I'd struggle to give any of them the title of my 'favourite'.
Somewhat cliche - Final Fantasy VII always springs to mind - it was the first JRPG I played and spawned a total love for the genre. In a similar vein - I'd also have FFX right up there. It's probably not quite the game FFVII is but I enjoyed it almost as much.
Then I'd have to have Oblivion, I've poured something like 300+ hours in to the game over multiple replays (the mods really do help to extend the replayability!).
GTA: Vice City would also come fairly high up the list, again I spent a ridiculous amount of time playing it.
I'd also have to mention Broken Sword II as a bit of a left-field choice. Great memories and like FFVII got me into RPGs - BSII got me into point & clicks.
Easy for me - Ocarina of Time nothing has come close!
Did you ever get around to playing the original Broken Sword? About ten years ago (perhaps a bit more) I found it in a bargain bin. Had never heard about it, but as I'm a fan of Templar-related stories and/or conspiracies, as well as having a soft spot for adventures, I bought it. Turned out to be love at first sight. Also loved the music, which sounded very familiar. It turned out to be by Barrington Pheloung, who'd also done the music for Morse (and later Lewis and Endeavour).
I've never played a game like I have FFX, so I'm going to go with that! SimTower was pretty awesome in my day as well! Commander Keen? Jazz Jackrabbit!? These two were amazing as well back in the day!

Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 - PC
But two that have stood out were Double Dragon(Arcade) and Infiltrator on the C64
Jon
Elite on the Acorn Electron
I would have to say PacMan for the Atari console.
After that I would choose... Final Fantasy!
Any mario kart, just for the split screen mayhem
Best puzzle game I've played was pushover for the Amiga 600.
Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 all the way! That game was so, so good for its time, and its still very fun to play today.
Oh wow! I never expected to see Rollercoaster Tycoon getting a mention in here, hadn't even occured to me!
But now that folk are mentioning it, you're all so right - that game is Amazing!
I was going to say either Pokemon Red/Blue (XY was better, but R/B take the spot in my heart) or Star Control II/Ur-Quan Masters... but I don't think I can now cos I wanna go play RCT. xD
Mind, for multi-player I've still never found anything to beat Smash Bros and TimeSplitters 2.
Original Half-Life.
Followed by Doom (on my P200) and Elite on the BBC micro.
Half-Life.
Defined the modern FPS, told a story and had interesting environments. Also has my favourite opening to any game ever.
Minecraft so much fun had with this game. My best build was a lighthouse.
