Not really no. Own them all, started playing the first one before getting too annoyed at the controls/camera. Eventually played this one, scrapping my plan to play them in order of release since I though it better for me to actually play one than none at all!

Since playing through this one, I've started anniversary, not got very far though.

So compared to the other Tomb Raiders what do you think? Does it seem the same to you? How about story wise, or even Lara Croft's Personality. What do you think of the change of that?

I've not really played the other Tomb Raider games, but this game is quite fun, I've pretty much had this in my back log for a very long time but decided to install this on Steam, when i got my new soundcard.

IMO, it brings nothing new or special. It's just playing the characters in the usual small map, scoring kills.

    Re: Tomb Raider 2013 :-)

After finally getting around to it this weekend, I'm enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would. It's also massively screenshot friendly - I could take them all day!

Only problem is a friend of mine was on the Indonesian tourist boat that just sank She's OK, after a nightmare swim, but it's put me off games based on shipwrecks for a while.

The only good thing about the game was the graphics and Lara's hair.
    The story was rubbbbbish!

    Re: Tomb Raider 2013 :-)

This was my favorite game of 2013. I really liked it.

It sucks that Rise of the Tomb Raider is timed-exclusive for the Xbox One. Oh well, a few months of waiting won't kill me

I felt that way before I started playing it but once I started I just got so into the game that I had to finish it and the game was amazing. This is a game I would highly recommend, I find it hard to believe that you would be disappointed with this game.

    Re: Tomb Raider 2013 :-)

You know what it reminds me of a little? Half life 2. OK, the story isn't as good, but it has the same 'wouldn't it be cool if you got to play this scenario?' effect. It's similarly linear and so on.

I still find that the game should've been called "Lara Croft: Island Explorer... Tombs Are Optional"

    Re: Tomb Raider 2013 :-)

It was a great game if you came to it with an open mind. But if you were expecting an actual spiritual successor to the Tomb Raider series, you would've been pretty disappointed.

    Re: Tomb Raider 2013 :-)

    I LOVED IT

as Kal says.. the screenies are awesome.. its graphically a masterclass especially the sense of HEIGHT and SCALE

AAs for story.. I liked it a LOT

In short... the old Tomb Raiders.. 1 2 and 3 in particular I doted on.. but I don't have the time for that now... I need something a bit quicker and more rewarding.. and this is IT

I expected to use my brain. That's what TRs have always been to me - Light, fun, 3-d platform/puzzles, with a few things to dodge and shoot.
