    Re: Watch_Dogs

I found it to be more like a modern Assassin's Creed, with hacking/profiling instead of eagle vision/triggering traps, instead of scaling buildings you transmit through/round them.

Depends how you play, stealth is very AC (don't get spotted/distract), but you can run & gun like GTA (take everyone down before the cops arrive)for some of the missions.

Just finished the campaign and enjoyed it (not posting any spoilers)

It's an open world game based around taking missions (some core, some optional), doing random activities (chess etc in WD), shooting people with a vast array of guns, driving a huge number of cars, all from a 3rd person perspective. I don't get how anyone could say its not like GTA

It is very different in other ways - on the positive side it controls much better (particularly on foot), graphically its vastly superior of course, there are indoor areas (you can enter buildings) and its more stealth orientated than violence (although violence is usually the easier option!). On the negative the city itself is more more boring/there is less to do, the driving isn't quite as nice as GTA (but its still very good) and the story is poor in comparison.

It's worth a play but I expect to be trading this in as soon as i've played through the campaign.

    Re: Watch_Dogs

Finding the driving controls very hard with a keyboard. I hear an Xbox pad is easier, but so far it's a real achievement for me to get from A to B without hitting anything. Motorcycles are much easier for me (surprise surprise), but it's still very challenging.

The rest is okay so far. Still heavily reminiscent of GTA/Saints Row to me, though.
Also need to look at the graphics/config - Even with all the Nvidia recommended settings, mine doesn't look nearly as nice and it's very stuttery at times. I suspect my CPU or RAM are bottlenecking things badly!

Anyone tried the ctOS mobile app? Pretty neat idea (although a little buggy)

Some friends of mine have it and tried attacking me. Even with my rather naff driving abilities, I wiped the floor with them.
Also very buggy, as they seem to lose connection to the Uplay servers a lot.

    Re: Watch_Dogs

If you are into games like that I would say go for it. I found a nice short over view of the game here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aiCOCIn_6sw

I have to say this does have a certain enticing quality although for a multiplayer experience I don't think I would bother because I am more of a battlefield 4 kind of guy, or Armor 3.

it runs poorly on my two 480's sli'd. It constantly stutters for about a second, and it makes it soooooo difficult to drive at speed!

    Re: Watch_Dogs

This game has had a very rough release on PC.

I haven't played it but I think this franchise is certainly one to watch, although this entry seems to have disappointed people mostly.

    Re: Watch_Dogs

I just got watchdogs as it was on sale even knowing my CPU does not meet the minimum spec's as Ill be upgrading very shortly. I am actually surprised how well it runs considering my CPU is bellow minimum yes there is the occasional time when performance tanks however overall its playable. Looking forward to giving it a proper go when I do my new build.
