With possibility of seeing some limited stock of the HTC Vive hitting some retailers shelves before Christmas is it worth jumping in straight away on these first batches or better to wait until Oculus comes out.

Read so much online but they both have their Pros and Cons.

Which is going to be more worthwhile.

Which is better option and more worthy buy?

After using DK1 and DK2, I personally am going to wait a while. As much as I want a VR headset for my driving setup, I don't want to have to take travel sickness pills to play.

For one, I may wait until the second-gen and most certainly won't be jumping on something like Vive and part of me doesn't want to give Facebook any money, meaning no Oculus....

Obviously, you may want to jump in feet first but there's so much tech that needs to be perfect for the experience to be flawless and I doubt gen1 kit will have it all.
