    Mega Drive II Help!

    Hey guys,

Really sorry to be posting this cos I know for a fact it's been asked once and probably hundreds of other times, but am looking for some specific help!

I'm trying to get my Mega Drive II connected up to my HD TV and for some reason, the RV cable isn't working. I've tried putting the cable into the TV then the aerial into the RV and re-tuning to Analogue but nothing at all.

I ordered a cable from online, but it seems I may have got the wrong one? I'm hoping you can help me here though! As you can see here, it's an 8 pin end (which fits into the MDII) to an AV end.

However, the ends aren't jacks! So what I tried to do was the 8 pin into the MD, then an extra AV cable into the ends, like so.

I then put the OTHER end of the AV into the TV but even now, when I go onto my AV setting through Source, nothing! Can anyone help?

    Thank you!

This thread might help. Seems you're not the only one with the same problem:

    Re: Mega Drive II Help!

Like I said in the other thread it has to be tuned in to an analog channel on your TV, usually 36. If that isn't working then some sort of scart solution should be fine :

You can't link to a file on your hard drive. Computers are designed so that random people on the internet can't see what's on your drive. Upload it to an online image hosting site like imgur or similar.

I don't know which connectors you're talking about but generally chaining plug adapters is fairly chancy as it'll only work if both ends are talking the same signal type (RGB, YPbPr, Composite, S-video, PAL, etc.).
