Does the manufacturer not offer replacement pads in different materials?
Koss Porta Pro....£30....all day long comfort, non-sweaty, excellent sound reproduction....yes you look like you time travelled from 1984, but they're so good for the price!

Why?
Cheap, durable, sweat-resistant (and inducing). And as someone said, wipe clean.
But yeah, 'orrible in this weather.
Thing is with Sennheiser the sound is developed to be open, closed or sealed so changing the pads changes the sound.
The PC350 (original ones) were touted as sealed to isolate noise both ways, turns out with a good amp behind them, several small holes drilled into the back of the sealed driver unit and swapping the vinyl for velour from the 580's makes them even better.

I didn't want to assume that Zak had such expensive headphones that simply changing the pad material sends the sound quality dramatically spinning off into the realms of intolerably awful...
