Game sent me an English version of the tech tree poster on the 22nd. They'd responded to my email regarding the problem within half a day. Faultless customer service.

Borrrrring as hell. Just Tech 1 units, dam.

I spent over an hour on the 2nd UEF mission, you have to rescue 15 trucks or w/e. Well ive done 13, and ive only got 1 left???? and i cannot pick it up, my tranports do **** all.

The game is borked, slow, boring, and runs seriously badly.

What a waste of money, knew i shouldn't of bothered. Back to Dark Crusade.

Well, I have managed to get a working copy, played some this afternoon.

Bit lacking in the multi monitor support area truth be told, the second screen is rather worthless due to the fact you cant use arrow keys to move around the map.

Also i had to disable my 3rd monitor (running on a second gfx adaptor) to get it to work.

So now i cant keep an eye on IRC while I play.

Also got dark crusade, gonna go play some of that now.

you expected to start with tech 3?

each of the operations takes about 1-2 hours (one if you are adventurous, 2 if you turtle), the challenge in the early missions is to still win, even with the limited units you have: hardly a challenge if you get siege bots in level 2. No games start with all the units available. SUre its a bit annoying, and it would be nice to get more high tech units around operation 4 or 5, but you never learn how to use tech 2 units effectively if you just go straight to tech 3...

Ah well, I am enjoying the campaign so far... learning the units before I try some online stuff

Yeah the first few missions have been fun for me. It's a great game.

Smokey21, try turning down some of the graphics options or res if it runs badly. I run it 1600x1200 in medium detail preset and it is sooth for me most of the time, but someyimes it is slighly jerky. It is fair to say that it asks from a high end machine to run smoothly all the time with all the eye candy on.

I have to admit though that Dreamlords keeps drawing me away from supcom lol.

Been playing it for the last few days and I love it... everything I wanted it to be and more (not very often that happens) its only been Crackdown today thats dragged me away.

My tech tree was also in French... This something THQ will sort? cool.

Keep checking the info on the SupCom fourms, some of the planned mods / inporgress sound very good... I cant wait for the TA remake in the supcom engine

Frustrtatingly it eithers desyncs on startup, someone times out after 5 mins, gets uncontrollably laggy after 30 mins (1 frame a minute type lock-up), game crashes anywhere between 5-30 minutes (both me and other people), don't work properly with Audigy cards etc.. I suppose it's the same as any other game on launch, but it's soo frustrating to have a good 3v3 game going and then 30 minutes in begins to break apart.
well firstly i get what you are saying secondly you are gonna struggle with a 3v3 when you only have the reccomended specs for 4 player medium map i know very few people that dont lag on 3v3 but 2v2 if you all have dual core it will run fine

3V3 needs lots of grunt. I tried it with 4600 X2 @2.8, 2gig RAM and a 7950GT and still got patches of lag.

    Date 26 Feburary 2007

Further to your correspondence of 23 Feburary 2007

Thanks for providing your details. As soon as we receive our stock of English Tech. Tree posters, we will get one sent out to you.

Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.
So if yours said they were posting it today they must be posting me one as well today. I was wondering if I was actually going to get the proper tech tree before I finished the game lol. A major cock-up putting in the wrong tech trees, but a good response from them to put it right. Not bad.
