Personal choice as with all these things.
You can - sort of. The PE encodes on both HD-DVD and BD (VC-1 encoded) have pretty apparent colour banding issues in the likes of the sky shots. THe BBC-HD broadcasts were AVC encoded, and do not suffer from this issue. THey do, however, have the semi transparent logo in the top left of the frame.
