Adobe kills mobile Flash Plugin development

Just spotted this elsewhere; Adobe kills mobile Flash Plugin development, said to be moving to Air development instead.

Looks like the web's going to have to ditch Flash altogether if they wish to be compatible with future devices, unless they wish to force users to use apps instead of the browser.

Edit: As a former, experienced Flash developer, all I can say is "YAY!"

My only concern is should I hide my true identity? A costume maybe?

0iD: Plus weeing in it every now & again does it good
scaryjim: 10" is just a little large to hold comfortably in one hand, which makes it a lot harder to tap, swipe and generally interact with.

To me this isn't a problem as hopefully it will speed up adoption of HTML5.

Another perfectly legit cross-platform tool killed by first Apple and then Microsoft's greed. If people use flash, you can't charge for the content in the app store...

What even is Air? I genuinely don't understand its purpose.
