    Earphones IEM suggestions?

I'm currently looking at getting some earphones to use with my Samsung Galaxy S2 and iPad 2.

I play 90% J-Pop and the rest is a mix of Dance, Rock, Metal, Indie, Euro, Trance and Vocal Trance and so on, my music is again over 90% .flac and the rest is 320kp MP3 files. I need them for traveling, be using them a lot on trains and in cars as well as a lot of walking.

I been looking at Audio Technica ATH-CKS77, Sennheiser CX 300 II Precision and Sennheiser CX 870's.

Budget is £30, but could push it to £50 if the headphones deserve it. I likely buy them from eBay.

Any help would be most welcome, thank you.

You get what you pay for. Although I haven't tried any of the ones you've been looking at, it's a shame you don't have the budget for some ACS T-15 Modular IEMS.
I love mine to bits, and can't rate them highly enough.
£130 is a tad higher than your posted budget though

The SoundMagic E10 get very very good reviews. I don't own any myself however so can't comment, I've just seen a lot of talk of them online and it's usually very positive.

    Re: Earphones IEM suggestions?

Thanks for that Kaged, I have a look at some reviews for them.

I love to spend that much on some BlackDwarf, but I'm not that much of an audiophile, but I do want the best for what I can with my budget, I guess, just want to have something better then the default earphones that I got with my phone. Earphones that if you have max volume, it starts to disturb others.

    Re: Earphones IEM suggestions?

Personally I'd vote for the Vsonic GR06s. They sell them at Frogbeats but not sure when they're in stock again. I really think they're the best at that price point. If you can forgo some bass then you could aim for the UE 700s, I love them but they may be too bright/basslight for you.

EDIT: If you're a student do ask the guys at Frogbeats for a discount too. I've spoken to them a fair few times and they're brilliant and will have a conversation about IEMs/headphones anytime! Can vouch for their customer support, David is brilliant! I've bought DUNU Tridents, Fischer Audio FA-003, Vsonic GR06 and VSonic GR07 from them and returned the DUNU tridents as I couldn't get a good seal from them and so the SQ was bad.

    Re: Earphones IEM suggestions?

All the suggestions so far are in jokers thread at headfi
    http://www.head-fi.org/t/478568/mult...added-05-07-12

    and also in ear matters
    http://www.inearmatters.net/2009/01/list_01.html

Should give you enough options to be totally confused now.
