I am wondering if anyone can help me, or at least explain what is
happening, with my adventures with Scart?! I have a Panasonic TX-28DT4
TV into which I have had happily plugged a DVD player and video (into
Scarts 1 and 2 of the TV). I have just bought a Hauppauge Media MVP,
which connects with my MP3 and video collection on my PC to my TV via
ethernet. It also requires a scart connection to the TV, so I bought a
3 way Scart connector.
If I plug the MVP to the TV via Scart 1 it works perfectly, However,
if I connect both the MVP and my DVD, using the 3 way thing, the DVD
seems to work ok but the picture produced by the MVP is a lot darker
than it should be. If I just put it through the 3 way on it's own, the
picture is fine again, so plugging in the DVD seems to cause the
problem. If I connect the MVP, either on its own or in combination
with the video, to Scart 2 the picture is really bad.
Can anyone make a guess at what is happening here? The 3 way
connector was really cheap, could it be part of the problem? And why
can I not get any sort of decent picture from the MVP via Scart 2?
Hoping that someone can shed some light on this, it's driving me
nuts?! Thanks in advance,
