| I live near several churches and we dislike them all! The main church in town practices bell ringing the carols for several weeks before christmas which is well annoying and the people who use the once pretty much next door to us which is an RC church entirely block the road with their cars every sunday without fail and on xmas eve come bursting out at about 1 am shouting and lauging and banging car doors &!*@! OFF! |

A lot of kids think christmas is about the birth of santa im sure.. at least thats what it said on the simpsons   |

| Steve m8 you make a good point. I am RC but haven't practiced for years but i do go to midnight mass every year. It kinda bothers me a bit that there are ever increasing numbers every year who have no idea why we celebrate Christmas. When I was a kid 95% of cards we got had a representation of Jesus or the wise men or the shepherds or something similar and now, as I look round the room, I've got about 100 cards of which 5 have something to do with the real reason we celebrate Christmas and the resT are a mish-mash of oddities ranging from Christmas trees to a picture of Ozzy and Kelly singing Changes with text bubbles coming out their mouths (v tragic card) and another one with Homer Simpson mooning to Santa Claus  |

| i went to a cofe primary and secondary school - used to ring churchbells and be in the choir and sh** - gave it all up at about 15 when i came to my sences - you do get alot of druken folks turning up for the midnight mass thou - out of the pub and they think it'd be cool to go to church - gawd knows why.. hughlunnon@yahoo.com | I have sigs turned off.. |

| And political correctness means that in a few years the word "christmas" isnt going to be allowed and its all about "the festive season". Damn those PC fascists!  |
