This is WRONG: Breville make a Coffee machine for instant!!

This is plain wrong. Wrong from every angle of wrong. And further still...its wrong.
    http://www.breville.co.uk/coffee.html
An Instant Cappucino machine....that uses instant coffee.

    /clears throat

    HELLO!!!!

thats not right. Not right at all.

Cappucino needs to be made with real coffee. Real coffee should be law. Instant has it's place....I drink it....but you need real coffee for Espresso and Cappucino.

    Period.

Am I wrong? You'd better have had more caffeine than me if you wanna argue

But in answer to the actual question, yes using instant coffee in a Cappuccino machine is extremely wrong!

I agree with you Zak. Completely wrong.

But I do know people who like normal coffee with some frothy milk, and I guess this is a (silly, expensive, waste of space) extention of that...

    You're not wrong.

To quote Chuck Palahniuk, 'sticking feathers up your butt does not make you a chicken'.

Whatever that machine produces is not a cappuccino.

Speaking of this, my gf's sister bought a coffee/cappuccino/espresso etc multi thing..cost her 700euros! How the heck can you pay 700euros for a coffee machine, is it made of solid gold or what! (I haven't seen it and don't know the brand)

That does seem a little self-contradictory, except you trade-off the taste of proper coffee against the lack of removing grounds from every crevice in the kitchen, as pods are demon spawn and will never be seen in my kingdom.

Which lead me to think which is the greater degree of wrongness: Frofee with instant, putting milk in proper coffee, or buying roast and ground off the shelf?

Thats fairly cheap for a decent one Just look at the prices of some of the high end Nespresso machines..talking thousands of swiss francs for some of those..but they do make *very* nice expresso

If you ever get a chance to go to one of their stores I reccomend it - free samples abound and some of the cheaper machines are quite good too (although they only do expresso in the cheaper ones)
