    One-click ordering at online retailers

What a great way to spend lots of money! I've just a ordered a load of stuff from Amazon and I couldn't believe how simple it was to part with my hard-earned cash.

In fact, it was so easy, i'll go back and order some more stuff...

    Seriously though, one-click ordering is a win-win.

Scratch your nose and the goods are yours, like in a auction..eh

I used it, clicked and I'd purchased the goods.....but wary of it now with a mouse and itchy finger, as IIRC there wasn't too many safe guards like "you sure you want to buy this etc"

Not really so. Once clicked you cannot cancel it. Given how rubbish some sites are, technically, it's possible to order the wrong thing, or two copies of the right thing and have no comeback.

I had a sticky session with Amazon recently where I was ordering a copy of Zelda - Twilight Princess for Gamecube. Since Amazon was out I had to look under the New and
Used section and I tried to order by on-click from there. I clicked and it hung. Eventually I had a page error and a blank screen for 5 minutes, so I went to my account, open and recently dispatched orders and there was nothing in it. Ok, try again. I tried again and all went fine. I went to open and recently dispatched orders again and again there was nothing. I thought, at this point, "oh merde" and left it. When I looked again 30 minutes later I had two copies ordered at 39 quid each. I tried to cancel one. You cannot. I emailed both vendors asking to cancel the orders, neither responded and I now have a spare Zelda. and 40 less quid than I had had before.

If there was a possibility of cancelling a one-click order reliably it would be great, but I have disabled one-click. It's too expensive.

Many people don't know that a child, with branches of coral nailed to his head and painted brown, resembles a deer.

We are obviously not not using the same Amazon. I have always found it very easy to cancel One-Click orders. It would actually be illegal not to be able to do so.

However, i have stopped using it because often they wont bunch stuff together and charge the highest postage for each item. But it's quite handy sometimes.
