MAYDAY! MAYDAY! First date restaurant recommendations needed.
I finally plucked up the courage to ask a girl I work with out on a date last night. I wasn't really expecting her to say yes as I thought she was out of my league. But she did!
Now in the way too bright of hungover daylight I realise that: 1. I've not been on a date in something like 10 years. and more importantly 2. I haven't got a clue where to take her. So guys help me out! I need something good in West London preferably as I work in W12 but Central will probably be ok too. |

^ Good luck with the date!
One of favourite restaurants is a little way outside of London: it's the Quattro Amici in Bromley: http://www.thefoodplace.co.uk/restau...ci+in+Bromley/ I haven't been there for a while but I used to go there regularly and it's perfect restaurant for a date, in my opinion. As you can probably guess from the name, it's an Italian restaurant. It's reassuringly expensive as well. ![]() Veru cosy atmosphere with very friendly staff and some of the best Italian food i've ever had outside of Italy itself. |

ok, find out a few things about her mate
1. What kind of food does she like? 2. What kind of music is she into? 3. Find something you have in common (other than work) For a first date, i would reccommend someplace low key, somewhere you actually have a chance to talk to each other, but with enough activity around so if you run out of conversation you at least have something to do. I also have a first date this weekend, its nervy stuff, but you have the advantage of having worked and gotten to know this girl first, use it ![]() (the girl i'm seeing is notoriously hard to please, i'm having to pull out all the stops) (like showering and everything!)

What you gotta remember guys is that these girls are usually just as nervous as you are...
Just take her somewhere nice, checking there aren't any special requirements that she might have (people leave it to the last min to annouce they're vegetarian, when you've just decided on a steak place! Ask her to choose what kinda meal she wants etc, it's much more likely to go well if you involve her in these decisions to a point, than to completely try and guess it. We're fickle creatures and without getting to know someone it's incredibly difficult to guess what a girl might like. Good Luck all of you, Esp Dareos, sounds like you're gonna need it! T x

Good luck guys.
I think a restaurant (tiggerai is right, involve her in the decision if possible) and then if it's not a 'school night', perhaps a quiet pub. Not a noisy pre-club pub but somewhere you could get a seat and have a chat. Dareos - where you going in the town? Sannino's is quite a cosy wee Italian on Bath street or one of the streets parallel to it. Zizzi is nice, there's two, one in Princes Centre on Buchanan Street and another just off Hope Street or Union Street. Probably best to avoid something spicy like Mexican or Indian, don't want to scare the laydees off with wind or needing to ruish to the toilet! ![]() My System: Coolermaster Centurion 5 (black) case, Intel E6750 Core2Duo, Tagan Easy-Con 530W, Asus P5B Deluxe WIFI, OCZ 2GB Kit (2x1GB) DDR2 800MHz/PC2-6400 CL 4-4-4-15 PLATINUM XTC, Samsung SpinPoint 200Gb SATA2 / 2 x Maxtor DiamondMax 10 200Gb SATA, 256Mb Sapphire ATI PCI-E X1950PRO, Creative X-Fi Xtreme 7.1, 19" Daewoo W9ZQ Black Widescreen TFT, 4Mb Virgin Cable Broadband (formerly Blueyonder) with Linksys WRT54GL Wireless-G and DD-WRT firmware. That's just a myth, like girls using the toilet, they only go to adjust their makeup, they complain because they like to sit on the lid of the toilet while adjusting said makeup so get annoyed if you leave it up
