Exactly. Its badly written, laughably acted, far fetched, miserable, and just generally crap. Half of the scenes are people whispering threats to each other, and the other half two old women standing in a shop talking about the things that old women talk about. What fun.

I wonder how Dots corns are getting on? I can't wait to find out.

The Sopranos is well done TV drama. Eastenders is tramps sex wee in comparison.

The Sopranos is widely recognised as one of the finest TV drama series of recent years. Eastenders is widely recognised (by people with brain cells) as watered down, badly acted nonsense, for the easily pleased, hard of thinking masses to slowly die in front of.

Moms watch Eastenders. Anyone else has no excuse.

Is Dirty Den back in it? I ask because he was killed to death in the head sometime in the 80s, but then walked back into the show a decade or so later (cuz like, Eastenders is so true to life innit) and quietly carried on with his life. I understand he has since been killed to death (again... don't you hate it when that happens?) so I suppose he'll be back soon if not already.

And while I'm at it, how long did Mark Fowler have AIDS? 49 years. And he looked good on it.

Walford is the most dangerous place in the world as well. There's less people killed in Iraq. Your life expectancy in Walford is about 5 years on average, before you are murdered (sometimes twice!), or killed in a freak chip shop accident.

Its also the only place in the UK where working class men never talk about football. The World Cup only gets a mention when the writers think to drop in a quick word about it, in a failed attempt to add some real life to the square.

If you want to watch Eastenders then watch it, but please, for the love of God, don't claim its good tv. Its as bad as tv can be.

I used to watch it, although not religiously, and now I can't remember why. Isn't life grey and miserable enough without watching that pap?

I remember why I stopped watching. Pauline Fowler. Oh god that woman made me want to kill people. The character should have been killed off when I gave up the ghost back in the early 90s...and it wasn't until last year that she actually got put out of her misery (in so many different ways).
