A new way to read HEXUS
We have noticed over time that people come to the site for several reasons - they could be interested in the latest technology, or they could want buying advice... Let's address the latter.
Say you came to HEXUS to read all about Intel Core2 CPUs - you don't know which one you want - but you know you want one. We have developed a thing called HEXUS.deep pages, these used to be used for advertisers to link to on HEXUS with their banners, giving you all of the information about their products in one easy place. We've now enhanced this and deployed it for all of the companies whose products we review, and on Gaming we've expanded it to include Publishers and the various gaming platforms. So if you want an Xbox 360 feed, you go to the page which is relevant to you - and you simply hit the link at the top of the page which says (All XYZ Content). ![]() This will then load a new page into the main site and on this page you will find a wealth of relevant information giving you the perfect place to start if you want all the relevant info on, as in the example below, Intel. ![]() As you can see, at the top it shows you the hottest HEXUS content we have produced on Intel in the past 12 months and below this is the latest 5 HEXUS items associated with Intel - this includes press releases, news, reviews, and articles. Below this we have all of our Intel coverage and you can jump to any additional pages - 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 - or you can show all of the pages in one by hitting "All". But it doesn't stop there. Below all that Intel content is another section and this is where you guys come in - the HEXUS.community content - threads pulled from our community which are relevant to Intel. On companies whom support us with advertising, there is also a series of buy-links which will take you to key retailers, and system integrator stores allowing you to buy the product in question. This is being rolled out across all the HEXUS group of sites and is a superb way for you to read, enjoy and get the very most out of the content on HEXUS! I might be blind or stupid (or, most likely, both), but how do I look at reviews for a specific category, which is what I end up wanting to do most of the time when I want to buy something?
If I select reviews, I get a list of reviews for all types of hardware, from graphics cards to processors. If I then click on one type of hardware, say System RAM, then I get all types of articles about System RAM - most of which are press releases and headlines rather than reviews. How do I get just reviews just for System RAM? (Or whatever piece of hardware takes your fancy)

Only problem is then you have to wade through all those pages to find the category you're looking for.

Have to wait and see...
Meanwhile a fix will go in - just trying to solve the best way in my head ![]() So you want to be able to select a category and get all of the reviews for the said category yes? Have you thought (just for fun) to just search the site?

Searching just for "graphics cards review" doesn't exactly work brilliantly either - after sorting the list by date (so that I'm not reading out of date reviews), most articles aren't reviews. Anyway, thanks for listening!

So you would be happy to have a review finder page....
List of categorys - you pick what you want - and it lists the reviews, you can sort by date order? |

So one step on from this? http://www.hexus.net/content/item_list.php?itemType=1
Pick Item Type, Pick Category - Display, then sort by date
