    As I recall, a thread by Saracen used to appear on every forum page...

    Nice to have him back!

    So it seems.

    Dave threatened to do this, whether I wanted it or not, and I thought he was kidding.

    To be fair, though, I did say "Okay, if you want to".

    Judging by your join date, you wouldn't remember, no. It must have been at least two, maybe three years ago, when I stepped down. It's a long story, but there were a number of things going on in my life, an Admin'ing here required too much effort, and I'd co-launched a digital photography forum elsewhere ..... and besides, it's nice to post as a standard member sometimes, without the dual-role aspects. As a mod, sometimes you find people won't engage in a proper debate because they think they'll get in trouble, and others seem to take it as an opportunity to try to provoke, see how far they can push.

    Thanks .... I think.

    It's a bit much when people go all sneaky on you and perform underhanded tricks .... like actually doing what they said they were going to do. What's the world coming to when a outbreak of honesty and straight-forwardness occurs. I'm going to have to hand in my membership card of the Arch-Cynics club if that keeps up. It's distorting my world view.

    So does Orange = forum administrators but not employed by hexus and Blue = employed by hexus? I have wondered for ages what orange meant.

    Broadly speaking :-

    Blue = Hexus staff
    Orange = Admins, non-staff
    Brown = SuperMods

    Mods may be various colours, but a bold black in not unusual.

    Red = ATI Multimedia team
    Green = CS Clan

    Some people, of course, are members of more than one of those categories. And I'm sure I've forgotten something.
