Re: Tube Strikes
I don't really fancy a 45min walk from Kings Cross to the West End! I walk to the station "at home" as it is. Long enough for me.
Didn't realise there were three stikes planned either

Re: Tube Strikes
I'm gonna have to work out how to use the buses to get from London Bridge to Euston... oh joy.
I can't walk that, I'd be walking all night.

Re: Tube Strikes
Hmmm, not good news that... One thing I hate more than the tube is the bus

Re: Tube Strikes
Get one of these, carry it on the train, then use it to get to your destination

Re: Tube Strikes
D-Day, pandemonium ensues.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/6974841.stm METRONET: We continue to work to avert the strike. If the strike goes ahead, it will affect services from this afternoon's peak period. Services will not return to normal until Friday morning. The Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly lines are scheduled to run as normal. We anticipate that they will be very crowded. No other lines are likely to be running. If possible, please complete your journey by 1700 this evening or use alternative routes including DLR, National Rail and bus services. Please check for further updates during the course of the day. Message received 10:17am. Tobeman happy - doesn't have to do his presentation at work as he kindly decided to postpone for everyone else's benefit. The fact I'd done nothing towards it yet has nothing to do with it

RMT screwing us over again. Why does it happen 3-4 times a year? Those clowns really don't know how to sort things out (once and for all).

Move to Paris for a few months, especially during the summer, then this will all seem pretty relaxed.
Many people don't know that a child, with branches of coral nailed to his head and painted brown, resembles a deer.
