Big company pc's
I'm just about to build or buy a photo editing pc, but I would like to do it on finance since that would ease the burden of putting out £2k+ straight away, which is a major investment considering i'm a student on a year out to work.
So I was wondering, which are the best big name companies in the business now that offer finance? Wasn't particularly impressed with dell telling me that to upgrade my ram by 2gb I need to give them £150+... Checking out mesh as I type this. |

If you want to save cash then are you comfortable with building your own?
You'll easily save a few hundred quid.

Mesh are good.
I believe scan offer finance on their 3XS systems in that price range http://3xs.scan.co.uk/ Expensive systems but well built and great customer service. You can also buy Mesh PC's from comet now if you like the idea of being able to shout at people face to face if something goes wrong. |

Re: Big company pc's
Building it wont nessarally save much, although if you want a high spec machine, without the 5.1 speaker set and printer, that might help.
Otherwise, i would always consider second hand PC's when tight for money. Finance is never good. - Put a post in the wtd: forum and see if anyones got a 6month old setup going for a good price. I got this PC three and a bit years ago for £200 off tiggi, and its basical the same as it was then, bar the pair of 19" tft's - Proberbly not enough for your needs, but it will do basic vector graphics work (just done some window stickers in fireworks) and also some half powerfull cad work as well (i do mech eng).
