Start a timer from this moment...

    Here's the game...

This article was posted on the BBC website about an hour ago (at 12:16 I think) http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/7029832.stm

Whenever Rave appears and posts in this or any other thread, and says "I told you so" stop the clock. Whoever guesses the time of that ranting post most accurately wins a free pat on the back*

In the mean time place your bets. I think he's probably at work, but will be home soon-ish (if he's still working earlies), so I expect a response before 4:00pm today.

    * must be self administered.
PS Rave, if you read this, you're a national treasure and I mean no offence! Please forgive my insolence.

I'm going for the long shot outsider here, i recon, as its friday, he won't check until late tonight/tommorow morning, so i'm going for

    01:23

    its also a loverly number!

The intresting logical conclusion from this, is that people are expecting house prices to rise despite the credit crunch. The conclusion is derived from this, if i own a house, but i'm getting 30% less than the 'base' value on the house, i'm assuming the house is going to rise more than the base. As most mortgages are typically 0.5% above base, this implies that the landlords are expecting, at the very least a house price rise better than base, so won't be selling.... supply and demand (thanks to london green belt) will help keep london house prices well outside the reach of the poor. Some of those seem a bit late.
Rave does have an instinct for these things, 15:23

We should create a machine based upon the findings of this test

    the Rave-React-a-Tron

and then use it to measure all house price movements.

The faster the reaction the higher the rating THE GREATER THE DANGER!

17.49 is my guess as he'll be busy beforehand.

shocking isn't it how you can rent for cheaper and not have to worry about building repair costs or anything linked like that.

    Absolute ROFL.

Well, I'll be guessing that he'll have to get in from work after a bit of overtime on a Friday night, have a bite to eat, then he'll go checking the 'doomsday' forums where this will be posted, before rushing over here to tell us the bad news.

    I'm saying 21.04 tonight...
