"Filler" Words... ARGH!!!
Is it just me....? ...or do people who use "filler" words all the time really wind you up?!
I was in a meeting today for 2 1/2 HOURS, and I swear, it could have been HALF the time if people hadn't continued using stupid "filler" words. One person in particular kept on saying "obviously" EVERY OTHER WORD! Other words such as "you know", "basically"...etc. Oh it was just getting silly. I obviously got bored, you know... and you know, basically, started to keep, basically, a log of, you know, how many times basically, they obviously said it and basically, I ran out of well, obviously, paper, you know? Honestly, it was obvioulsy awful, you know?

'Fraid I'm guilty
I can't help it..... I say "right" far far too often when I'm trying to demonstrate a new piece of kit... It's terrible and I feel like such an idiot whenever one fires out

i'm guilty of talkin like a twat and sayin "like", "ya get me", "ya know what i'm saying" and "enit" (the brummie version on "innit") throughout my conversations. ah well.
if war is the answer, then we are asking the wrong question 2 things i hate the most - xenophobia and the french "chuffing" |

One of my lecturers at uni used to use "you know" all the time... I started to keep track on how many times he said it during a 1 hour lecturer.. 70 odd times if i remember correctly. That's more than once a minute!!!! He was bloody annoying... each week it was the same too.
