It's nearly xmas and I've caught man flu again
Last year it was just after xmas and made new year pants, this year it's the week before xmas and I'm praying it goes away soon. Anyone else suffering? My throat feels like someone's sanded it and my phlegm is coming out in nearly as many colours as a bag of m&m's (no blue yet but I wouldn't be that surprised)

I got that feeling this morning when you wake up where I instantly felt ever so slightly cold, and felt all hot behind my eyes, which usually means by the weekend il be going through shed-loads of tissues, and coughing the house down!

Suffering as well, streaming nose, burning eyes, incredibly sore throat and vicious cough... what is it about men suffering from horrendous colds that instantly causes women to become dismissive?!?

Yeah im home reasonably early for once, just had some food, gonna get me a hot drink then wander off to bed in a while  hopefully its not as stupidly cold 2mrow morning, minus 6 really is starting to take the mick! |

I always fall ill before/on christmas. Its like I'm cursed!
Right now I've been ill for 2 weeks which has now leveled down to a constant blocked nose, with the scheduled super green gook expel from the nose. Fun.

Malfunction, same situation as me.
Got ill, tuesday..still rough now, slept last night for 13.5 hours and am feeling tonnes better for it.. So yup sleep is good, now its time for me to get some Vit C |

Man Flu? Pfft, you have a cold...
I had a cold 2 weeks ago, got over that then got the flu (high fever, hot shivers, aching muscles etc), and now I have a chest and an ear infection... 
If cars had followed the same developmental path as computers, a Rolls Royce would cost £60, get a million miles per gallon and explode once a year, killing everyone inside.

 In seriousness though, does man flu really exist? I just thought there was 1. Colds, not serious just a sniffle and perhaps a sore throat and 2. Flu, bad for either sex - high temp, feel incredibly weak + cold symptoms and maybe something else i forgot  .However... Hope OP gets well soon... whatever he has .

Thanks... And no idea what I have - phlegm factory disease I think. I go from having a runny nose and strangely over productive salivary (?) glands (so much so that if I try to fall asleep I wake up choking on my own spit). Then I start having hot flushes and then everything dries up and I end up coughing up tons of phlegm (I was actually keeping a 'spitoon' for it all but after it got about an inch deep I started washing it out cuz it was damn disgusting)... The phlegm has settled out to just green now but is sort of spongy... I always thought the stuff you coughed up was what slipped down your throat from your nose but this definitely has a different texture...
