    Vampire Car

Was just looking through The Sun when i seen an article on the Hammond Crash car. Seem's like the owners quite bitter about what happened.

Vampire jet dragster as seen on BBC Top Gear on eBay, also, Other Cars, Cars, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 30-Dec-07 07:00:00 GMT)

Well, how else would you expect them to feel after someone smashed up what was a pretty damned unique item! They're trying to salvage what they can from the incident and I can't say I blame them

I fold for Hexus, do you?

Yeah, no problem with them selling it. I wasn't particularly impressed when the owner suggested it was Hammond's fault for crashing though. How many tyre failures at 300mph had he had?

It was something that happened. I dont think they actually planned on crashing at high speeds and threatening the future of Richard Hammond and Top Gear.

I'm supprised that anyone was allowed to drive it uninsured. Is this true of all vehicles driven on the show (great show, of course)? Did Astin Martin let JC (seasonal name abbrieviation) drive (racing a train, I think) accross europe without insurance?

Somehow I doubt a tyre going pop is really Hammonds fault.

I would have thought Clarkson would have his own insurance or the car delivery people plates...OR Aston Martin would provide the insurance as it was for review...
