surely not free...I'm betting its a 'stealth service', meaning they never informed you of this new service or that you were getting it, it all seems well and good so you don't feel obliged to say anything about it - its nothing you asked for but when you get your bill at the end of the month you get your *rse billed to infinity and beyond!

    ...another 'typically orange' moment?
when it comes to orange not much is free, but on the whole they appear to be considerably cheaper than the other networks for many of their services...

Please, Don't ask for that one 'as a desktop'...its really not worth wasting your time asking, unless you're able to pay £££?

Another thing you can have instead of answer phone - costs 10 quid a month, that is for the orange personal assistant

this is nicer than 1471 cos it tells *you* when someone calls, you dont have to check. and yes it IS free.

5lab - what is wrong with the miss calls tab on your phone?, if i've missed the call a txt is hardly going to help as i'm obviously oblivious to my phone anyway, next time i check it i get a BIG 1 Missed call on the front screen. DOH i missed a call?.

Sorry but its a pointless service, and given a few months it will start costing you money

I think he means when you're phone is off or out of signal, if somebody tries to call you then, you won't get a missed call on your phone. You'll only know about it if they leave a message.

Sounds a sweet deal to me...

If cars had followed the same developmental path as computers, a Rolls Royce would cost £60, get a million miles per gallon and explode once a year, killing everyone inside.

Yeah I think it's good. If someone rings you and doesn't leave a message, you have no idea unless you do 1471. Good idea methinks (Y)

1471? I didn't know they did that... So even if your phone is switched off, upon turning it on and dialing 1471 you'll find out that someone has called?

I thought 1471 only qorked on land lines and I also thought it only worked for missed calls...
