    War On Scientology

Has anyone else been watching this with interest?

"Anonymous" threatens to "dismantle" Church of Scientology via internet | APC Magazine
MND: News and Commentary Since 2001 » "Anonymous" releases statements outlining "War on Scientology"
    YouTube - Q: Scientology A: Anonymous

    London meeting

I'm finding all this very fascinating. I really think it offers an insight into how many of today's mainstream religions started.

The backlash on the net seems huge towards them.

It's religious persecution, as happened to early Christians. All we need to do is throw Tom Cruise into a pit with some Lions and I'll be a happy man!

Well I think the scientologists will welcome this - it legitimises them if they feel they are persecuted.

Scientology is just as valid a religion as Christianity.

They are both based on texts that describe fictitious unverifiable events and they both defy basic reasoning, in short they are both full of people kidding themselves and being taken advantage of by peoples in the upper echelons of the organisations who know the truth.

That truth being of course that the whole thing is a scam.

Usually a religion really takes off after a period of persecution leads to the creation of martyrs...

.....I'm sure it won't come to that though!

PS I think you mean in your opinion etc.... I don't follow religion but if I did then I would more than likely follow the Christian than the Scientology religion.
