The Scarlett Keeling Incident
I was reading up on the Scarlett Keeling alleged murder case, It was unfortunate that she died while being at Goa, a beach resort in India. Anyways, what do you guys make of this?
Scarlett Keeling's diary reveals her sex, drink and drugs lifestyle - Telegraph I find it quite odd that her mother denied use of drugs completely and the girl was writing in her diary about taking drugs and engaging in inappropriate activities, specially considering her age. The above link reads from her diary, it is disturbing (the small bit that you can read), It scares me to think that teens today are really that messed up!...and parents, negligent so to speak of... ![]()

BBC NEWS | World | South Asia | Goa police 'in drugs clampdown'
Goa has been known for years as a party resort, not somewhere I'd leave a 15-year old. I think her mother was very naïve - but with 6 other kids to look after... |

Re: The Scarlett Keeling Incident
even so, leave her there, with a bloke she dosen't really know.
i can begin to understand why the police didn't think of it as number 1 priority (remeber lots of poor people there will of been killed and raped too, with very limited resources)
throw new ArgumentException (String, String, Exception)

Re: The Scarlett Keeling Incident
Yeah, the police dont take such cases seriously, blaming it on the victim's family etc, but it was seriously naive to leave her daughter with people she didnt even know....

Re: The Scarlett Keeling Incident
Let's face it, the mother was damned naive to think that her daughter wasn't up to that kind of stuff. Teenagers can and will get up to whatever they think they can get away with and it's so much a part of being popular these days to drink, take drugs and screw because their parents are often incapable of keeping their own lives together, let alone help another person.

Re: The Scarlett Keeling Incident
Yeah..it is disturbing, like I mentioned earlier, I get scared (and that too quite often) when I get to know what teens these days are doing...they hide so much and they do much more than their parents could ever imagine...this gap between teens and their parents has really started showing its shortcomings...

Do we leave them with a TV as a babysitter, or in the care of some stranger who gets minimum wage to watch them because that's all we can afford?
It's a bleak future to say the least. |
