Thinking about going, but my main focus this year is Rock am Ring the line up there is too good to pass up.

Already got the tickets 5th in a row for me, atmosphere second to none.
was a bit gutted last year as they named the 2nd stage the Dimebag stage and all the big namers i went to see ended up playing on it as they saw it a tribute, but the 2nd stage is TINY and it clashed with the main stage headliners. props for showing respect for a GREAT musician but bad move in terms of organisation and the knock on effect it caused

this year, i was VERY put off by the headliners as after seeing the later confirms i dont think Offspring and Lost Prophets are suitable choises - KISS how ever, thats another story

Second stage headliners clash more often than not anyway in my experience, unless main stage headliners run late like Metallica did in '04 or you have a stipulation built into your contract as (rumour has it) Guns 'N' Roses did in '06, the real messy piece of organisation was putting Korn on at the same time as MCR and not realising that a good 60% of the people would rather mission to the second stage to see Korn than sit and watch MCR

Have to say I'm not even slightly tempted this year..

I'd only want to see about 2 bands and I'm happy not to see them anyway.

We wen't two years ago, that was awesome. Tool, deftones, Coheed and Cambria (i like them lol), and dredg which was pretty special it has to be said.

The only band I really want to see right now is lamb of god but i'm getting a bit old for a pit like that

Got my ticket a while back, really looking forward to this year..

Kiss + Offspring are sure to be amazing headliners (especially with Offspring ranking in my top 5 bands of all time, they got me in to 'real' music), both will pull a large crowd i'm sure. I'm also really looking forward to seeing Incubus (also up there in the top 5), and then you have the delights of such bands as Coheed, disturbed, children of bodom, JEW, In Flames, 36CF..and plenty more to come im sure

Offspring + Incubus make it worth more than the ticket price for me anyway..going to be an awesome year.

Lostprophets should NOT be headlining..but then again last year we have MCR + Linken Park headlining, and neither of them were suitable for a metal festival either..and this time we have 2 good headliners so its better than last year

Not been since Maiden headlined not to mention a raft of other metal-perfection.

The line-up is not dazzling admittedly but at least it means I shouldn't get any clashes and can avoid wading through the hordes.

Even so can't wait!

Wacken is really the festival of festivals. Eurofests are the way to go, although wacken seems to be getting a few more crap bands each year.

I'll be heading off to wacken this year, and you've left it a tad late for the tickets front They go for quite a bit now.

Download cannot really call itself a metal festival anymore. From that point of view the lineup is terrible, but Im sure it pleases alot of people.

Can't get away for both Download and Graspop, so chose Graspop (27th to 29th June). It looks like the best of the metal festivals this year, with the possible exception of Wacken. Most of the same bands are at both, but Graspop is nearer, and Maiden own Graspop.
