Just goes to show what you can do when you pump enough money and man power into a project.
If something like this happened in the UK or elsewhere... it would take months to fix.
Would love to know or see how they do fix things like that. I guess a lot of digging and moving of earth and refilling it, leveling it out and so on.
interesting, they had time to photoshop that guy there on the pic tooIf something like this happened in the UK or elsewhere... it would take months to fix.
They changed quite a lot between those two pictures, my spidy sense is tingling.
throw new ArgumentException (String, String, Exception)
Fair do's they had a massive earthquake to help with the "changes"...!
We'd need at least 2 months to put up thousands of cones, and "Delays Expected", "Uneven Road Surface Ahead" and such signs - in fact you could just keep that left lane open, couple of generators with traffic lights set to a random sequence where both queues wait hours for no reason!
methinks you got the before and after pictures the wrong way round
I like the way you drive past any road works here and there is one guy doing the work, one guy always on a phone, a couple chatting and upto a half dozen standing around.
You know it's bad internet etiquette to hotlink imagaes
And the source appears to be the Daily Mail (check IMG url). Although the photos are taken by AP.
lets pretend the mail has nothing to do with it, keep the quality of the thread up

I am fascinated by the fact that the fault lines seem to be straight down the white lines...
And to think that we in England are still suffering from the pot holes that was created from the harsh winter back in 2009...
I've come to the conclusion that there is no such thing as a construction worker. Never in my life have I ever seen one actually construct something.
Move things, eat sandwiches, talk, etc, but never actually build anything. I suspect it's all done by pixies during the night, and that's why they only "work" during the day.
