    Please help my mum!!!

hey guys im really looking for your help, basically i was wondering if anyone was kind enough to sponsor my mum online as she takes part in race for life. cancer is something that has affected my family personally in the past as my mum had breast cancer and now she feels its time for her to give something back to the people that helped her

i know it can come across as pretty cheeky but i hope you guys can help even just a little bit

thank you so much !!!! i'll even click the thank button for anyone who sponsors

    sponsor her

I don't want to sound stingy or rude, but the wife and I get sponsor requests coming out of our ears. Several from work and [real] friends, but HUNDREDS from Facebook friends.

And the "race for life"? c'mon hardly hard is it?! I'll sponsor her when she does the Canadian Death Race

And before I get flamed - both my Mum and sister are doing this for the same cause, so money will be winging its way there anyhoo

well monkey boy its a really big thing for her as she remembers how scared she was when she had cancer and how much it affects someones life and secondly this is like a marathon for her she has terrible trouble with her knees so shes really excited / worried about doing something physical like this.
so crawl back under the rock from which you came and please dont post back in this thread, im not upset u didnt sponsor her im upset with how negative u are. good luck to ur mum n sister they are obviously better people than you'll ever be.

I genuinely didn't mean to cause offence mate; I am pretty negative I guess.

My main point was that in this day of 'everyone you've ever met' asking you for sponsorship it becomes devalued.

I certainly didn't mean to belittle what your mother is doing. I'm aware of how much it would have pissed me off as I know first hand how demoralising it is to have your mother fight cancer. I can see how what I said sounded glib ~ apols

Me thinks it's called race for life because... well you know... cancer kills people and well... it's a race to raise money to combat cancer... making it a race for life...

When I get paid on the 18th I will pop some pounds across, it is a worthy cause and for someone who has recovered to go and do something like that is a huge thing.

If quizzes are quizzical, what are tests?
