Trondheim - Norway
I am starting an 8 week project in Trondheim at the start of June.
Wondered if anyone had any advice, help, tips for Trondheim? I understand that between May 20th and July 20th, the sun does not set.. that sounds cool!! Hopefully I can find a serviced apartment rather than stay in a hotel for 8weeks! Gonna be flying home each weekend so would prefer to be able to leave stuff there rather than bring it home and back every weekend!

Re: Trondheim - Norway
I work for an engineering company whose manufacturing base is in Norway. All I can say is that everything from a toothbrush to a pint of beer is extremely expensive...
The scenery is great however, and our place is not that far from Trondheim in Romsdal Have a good time, |

Re: Trondheim - Norway
Coco, spent a week there, ITS FANTASTIC.
Was there at age of 21 and i'm afraid i can't remember too much due to the sheer alcohol content that was consumed, it still ranks as the number 1 most drunk week of my entire life. The Trondhiem Technology Uni was well worth a visit if the still allow people to have a wander around. The roads are "fun", see if you can rent a car, trondhiem itself gave me the impression of being quite bowl like, my friend drove me around in a very fun and entertaining mini (i felt like the bourne identity car chase at times - it was January i was there so the 6inch+ of ice was the factor not speed) Very jealous ![]() TiG

Re: Trondheim - Norway
Never been to Trondheim, just Bergen and Stavanger.
Trondheim may be a bit less expensive than Bergen (not going to say cheaper, that would give the wrong idea) as I doubt it is a touristy. Scenery should be fantastic, and like TiG, I'm very jealous. |

Re: Trondheim - Norway
it's a fantastic area to go to... just don't skimp on flights otherwise you'll be facing 6 hours in copenhagen waiting for you connection!
I was in bergen and oslo this time last year, sandflies and light were a killer! |
