so, who hoards all their packaging then..?

(prompted by 'best way to move LCDs' but mean meaning to post anyway...)

    keep or chuck?
who else keeps all the packaging their stuff comes in? i still have the boxes for possibly everything i have ever bought, including the polystyrene, plastic bags, instructions, receipts, etc, etc.., in some cases where i don't even have the original item any more... tvs, printers, keyboards, mouses, cd players, kettles, toasters, lawnmowers, you name it...

anyone else this bad/highly sensible/totally bonkers, depending on how you look at it?... or have even worse hoarding/stuffing in loft habits to own up to?

I keep the packaging for anything that needs protection when moving, like LCDs. Recycle anything where the packaging is no use, like for a flatpack desk etc.

I'm a keeper, though I'm starting to run out of room now.

I keep loads of packaging too,

When we are talking electronics I keep it. As most of the time when I upgrade I sell the old one on ebay/gumtree.

    Best way imo.

I keep most packaging for 28 days (makes life easier when returning faulty purchases) then recycle everything that I'm unlikely to upgrade/sell on. I also make sure I keep hold of a few Jiffy bags (from Play, etc), bubblewrap and some collapsed boxes to save cash when posting.

My only concern is should I hide my true identity? A costume maybe?

I keep the packing for the duration of any warranties then get rid of it aftewrwards. Big boxes like the TV I collapse down and store them like that to save space.

Nothing worse than having to return something and you have lost the box and they tell you that you must have it for it to be processed.

Yes, I'm a hoarder - certainly for a while - then find I need it about a month after it has been chucked.

Keep LCD boxes (monitor and TV) for when I move around. Most of the over stuff goes in the recycling skip.

It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt; then it's bloody hilarious!

I keep a few boxes of various sizes and put them in 1 big box which I have stored on top of the wardrobe in case of the need to post or ship things about
