    Strange text message...

    Just got a text saying:

You have 1 new Voicemail please call 0871 5200 295 to retrieve it
That was it... Now I'm on o2 and it normally says call 902! Anyone know who this might be? It was from the same number as in the text. I'd hate to now be getting SPAM texts on this new number!

If cars had followed the same developmental path as computers, a Rolls Royce would cost £60, get a million miles per gallon and explode once a year, killing everyone inside.

Aye - that's SPAM - it's a premium rate number (not a really expensive one IIRC but still a scam - or at best a 'joke' message from someone you know)

yeah, apparently from that number they tell you that you've won a prize or something, and tell you to ring this other number which is at the maximum bt rate, and it eventually costs about £15/20, I'll dig out the url with all the info on it..

They get you to call the 0845 number first because officially ICSTIS cannot investigate this, if you look at thier how to make a comeplain page it basically says unless your complaint relates directly to a premium number then they cannot do anything, so by making you call the lo call number first then calling the 09xx number you are actually making your self responsible....for spamming yourself lol
